Okay, Team America does look gay, but it's getting okay reviews. I myself, cannot pay money to see a PUPPET movie. That sh-t will get on my nerves very quickly. This will be very interesting... never been a movie like this before. Could bomb.

what was wrong with my thread? you didn't like all the retarded cartoons? lol Personally, being a South Park fan, and hearing about what the movie is really going to be like, which is violent and vulgar, which they are masking with the watered-down previews, whcih I'm not sure is the best marketing strategy becasue they are basically cutting off the movies nuts in the trailer, but , I kinda want to see it. It doesn't look that good from the trailer but they can't show the funny parts. The South Park movie didn't do all that well so I don't see why this one should either.

That's a close call, but a good one... I don't see it going over 20 million.

South Park, Bigger , Better, and Uncut.. only pulled in 13 million it's opening weekend. And the buzz for that was good.

I usually look at stuff posted on the Box Office Mojo forums (October 15th to 17th).

You're going to have to probably wait a few hours for some crowd reports as you folks in North America are barely into Friday night as it is yet. :drink:

disappointed in you Oren; posting those trailers that requires one to download AOL spyware and crap!!!! needless to say, would use yahoo or something else instead.

You've probably seen Friday's early box office numbers....

....seems like you do have to treat the words of the various box office hype sites on the net with great care (if they went to the cinema as much as they spewed spurious nonsense, box office takings would be at a record high!).

Shark Tale $5,758,500
Team America: World Police $4,658,500
Friday Night Lights $4,189,500
Shall We Dance? $3,749,500
Ladder 49 $2,573,500
Taxi $2,248,000
The Forgotten $1,880,000
Raise Your Voice $777,000
The Motorcycle Diaries $485,500
Shaun of the Dead $360,500

Team America: World Police looks do to around $15-17 million for a final 3-day total as suggested at Box Office Guru.

Looks like 13.5 or less at Intertops is going to hit for +500.

whoever took that option is sure going to get paid nicely.

Team America, 12.3 million? Wow! what a shocker!!!
